Doisy & Dam Good Mini Eggs Review

Doisy & Dam Good Mini Eggs Review

Following on from my review of the new Doisy and Dam D&D's and Ballers chocolates, I thought I'd review their new take on Mini Eggs - a vegan friendly, lower sugar dark chocolate version! You can find these in Holland and Barrett stores for £1.79 or so for 80g.

They're clearly positioning themselves as a vegan alternative to Cadbury Mini Eggs, and contain 70% cocoa dark chocolate which has 30% less sugar than the leading market product (Cadbury's). It all sounds good, and thankfully even though I was very disappointed in their D&D's and Ballers range, these surprised me!

Doisy & Dam Good Mini Eggs Review

They have classic Mini Egg style crunchy pastel shells, and the dark chocolate within is quite rich in taste. They're much better than the D&D's which I was surprised by, perhaps the higher ratio of chocolate to shell works in their favour. These are highly nommable, easy to eat one after the other but they do leave you feeling satisfied faster than something more sugary.

Doisy & Dam Good Mini Eggs Review

As nice as these are, I do think a dairy free version of milk chocolate would be better, after all it's what you want from a product like this right? But kudos to Doisy and Dam for this healthier option as it does expand the range of Free From products, and hopefully other companies will follow suit.

Overall, these were a pleasant surprise and if you're looking for a vegan Easter treat I'd recommend them.

Note: Made in a facility that handles nuts, milk, gluten, peanuts and sesame.

Snack Reviews Pick & Mix

I thought it'd be fun to compile some of the latest snacks I've been reviewing over on Instagram into one post here...enjoy!

KitKat Snack 'It:
kitkat snak it

An Australian concoction, these are a mixture of KitKat Bites, pretzels, popcorn and almonds. A nice mix of sweet and savoury that works rather well! Great for the cinema. I got them from Gb Gifts website (code Kevs10 gets a 10% discount).

Nestle Nuts White Chocolate:
nestle nuts white chocolate

A white chocolate limited edition is always worth trying, and this Russian variety of Nestle Nuts is interesting for sure...not the best quality white chocolate which is a shame but it's nice to try a milkier version of the classic nougat, hazelnut and caramel bar. Also from Gb Gifts.

Cadbury Clinkers:
cadbury clinkers

Another treat from Gb Gifts I got were these Cadbury Clinkers, which are crunchy honeycomb like candy sweets coated in Cadbury chocolate. They're an Australian classic and quite tasty and fun, despite sounding sickly!

Fruittella Gelatine Free Sour Hippos:
fruittella gelatine free sour hippos

A new treat available in Poundland in the UK are these Gelatine Free Hippos, fruity sour gummies with real fruit juice in. They're pretty tasty and just as good as any gelatine version.

Haribo Drama-Llamas:
haribo drama llama

A new one also in Poundland  that does contain gelatine are these Haribo Llama sweets. Of course they had to get in on the Llama trend - they already did Unicorns last year so this was the logical next step! (I bet sloths will be next). They're tasty enough although nothing ground-breaking.

Push Chocolate Dairy Free Buttons:
push vegan chocolate buttons

If you're tired of mainstream dairy free chocolate options, this smaller company makes tasty vegan chocolate buttons in various flavours like mint and orange, that use rice cream as well as panella sugar to make them creamy and rather moreish. I really enjoyed these! They also contain vegan plant protein (rice and pea). For more info on them see: https://www.pushchocolate.com/

Baileys Strawberries and Cream Truffles:
baileys strawberries and cream truffles

Available from Asda for Valentines Day, I was kindly sent these by World Of Sweets Dewho import some cool German snacks. Check them out for new Ritter and Lindt bars especially. They're filled with a strawberry and Irish cream filling that's reminiscent of strawberry cremes from Quality Street and Roses with an irish crème edge. Lovely!

Snickers Coconut and Peach White Chocolate:
snickers coconut and peach

Another oddity I picked up from Gb Gifts were these Chinese Snickers bars, in both peach and coconut flavours with a "cooling" sensation. They sound odd but aren't as bad as they sound - the cooling sensation enhances the flavours, which aren't too strong or sickly but just there enough to taste. A bit of a fun novelty.

Swizzels Great British Puds Chews:
swizzels great british puds chews

These are some new vegan-friendly chewy sweets that come in Apple Pie and Custard, Sticky Toffee Pud, Lemon Meringue and Rhubarb Crumble. A bit odd but they are surprisingly nice and fit the great british puds theme well. Available from Morrisons.

Jaffa Cakes Pineapple:
jaffa cakes pineapple

A rather odd new Jaffa Cake flavour from McVities, these are available in Asda and Morrisons stores. The filling has a good pineapple flavour but it doesn't work in a Jaffa Cake in my opinion.

McVities Strawberries & Cream Digestives:
mcvities strawberries and cream digestives

Another new flavour from McVitie's are these rather more palatable Strawberries and Cream Digestives. They have a good strawberry and cream flavour in the biscuit, although, I would have preferred some white chocolate and strawberry pieces to live up to the name! (Incidentally - who remembers McVitie's Yog Fruit digestives which were AMAZING, with yoghurt coatings and strawberry puree pieces?) Pic -

Maltesers Extra Choc:
maltesers extra choc
Another Gb Gifts order, these are Australian Maltesers with a thicker layer of chocolate coating them. Not bad but nothing spectacular - half the point of Maltesers is that they have a light chocolate coating!

That's it for this Reviews Pick and Mix edition...should I do more of these? Let me know if you'd like to see them! Thanks for reading.

Sainsbury's Hot Cross Bun Tea Review

sainsburys hot cross bun tea

Sainsbury's sure do like to create some interesting seasonal teas don't they? Who can forget the Pigs in Blankets and Brussels Sprouts Christmas teas from a few years back? Now they have opted for something that sounds a bit more pleasing to the palate, combining the flavours of Rooibos tea, orange, lemon and spice to give that Hot Cross Bun flavour. These cost £1 a box.

I'm glad they used Rooibos tea for this as it's a milder, less harsh tea that works well with fruit and spices. I was actually very surprised by this - beyond the novelty aspect it's very nice! There's a strong flavour of citrus, which is the most dominant taste and there's the gentle flavour of spices in there too. It's as close to hot cross bun in tea form as you're going to get, I suspect. Not bad at all!

sainsburys hot cross bun tea

I've tried it both with and without milk and although it's better with milk, it's lovely without it too.

Overall, a nice refreshing tea that will be very welcome over the Spring and Easter seasons. Grab yourself some hot cross buns to munch on along with it and you've got the perfect tea break/elevenses!

Quality Street Intrigue Truffles Review

quality street intrigue truffles

Quality Street have recently expanded their range by branching out into Lindor territory...with truffles! But they've given their own unique spin on them and these have crunchy coatings to fit with some of their classic Quality Street Chocolates. There's Orange which is a bit like the Crunchy Orange chocolate, Salted Caramel which is apparently based on the toffees, and Praline which is of course based on the Green Triangle.

quality street intrigue truffles

Sounds a bit gimmicky but they actually do fit with the Quality Street chocolates rather well. Consisting of a smooth, almost gooey truffle centre, coated in chocolate and with various crunchy coatings.

quality street intrigue orange

The Orange was a favourite - a smooth orange flavour centre with some crunchy orange bits on top. It tastes like the orange chocolate from quality street but the truffle adds an extra dimension to it, replacing boring crunchy inner chocolate with a smooth ganache. I think I liked this better to be honest. The crunchy bits still give you the crunchy fun element you get from the originals.

quality street salted caramel intrigue

The Salted Caramel are also great, a smooth caramel flavour truffle with crunchy caramel bits on top, again giving you the contrast between soft gooey centre and crunchy caramel bits. Thankfully though they're not so tough they'll pull your teeth out like the ones in Quality Street! Delicious.

quality street intrigue praline

The Praline of course are a bit like the Green Triangle and enhance it by adding some crunchy roasted hazelnut pieces on top. It's a bit like Ferrero Rocher but with smooth praline and very tasty! I'm not sure this surpasses the original Green Triangle though as that just has it's own special charm but these are tasty in their own right.

Overall then, a great range from Quality Street that has had some thought put into it. I like that they are similar to the actual chocolates from Quality Street rather than being a random spinoff. These would make a nice gift I'm sure, and although they don't quite surpass Lindor in terms of luxury they're a nice alternative that's a bit different.

The Orange ones are exclusive to Asda and the Caramel and Hazelnut will be available from Morrisons stores this week (not sure of price as I was gifted these - sorry).

Mint Maltesers Buttons Review

mint maltesers buttons

It seems we have a contender for the crown of Cadbury Orange Twirls aka the Most Elusive Chocolates...Mint Maltesers Buttons! These have proven very hard to find, I luckily managed to find them in WH Smith for a whopping 98p a bag and snapped up a couple, but they have since completely disappeared off shelves. They're supposed to be in Co Op stores too - but I haven't seen any in mine yet.

mint maltesers buttons

They're similar to the regular Maltesers Buttons, with crunchy Malteser bits embedded in milk chocolate, but with a minty flavour. The mint is subtle and gentle, it blends nicely with the sweet milk chocolate and malt bits, but to be honest they didn't wow me. I think releasing actual Mint Maltesers in the UK would have been a better choice than these...but baby steps I suppose?

Overall, not a bad new variety from Maltesers but I do wish they'd give us something a bit more exciting. Like White Maltesers! Who's with me?

Moo Free Vegan White Chocolate Hammy The Hamster

moo free white chocolate

The ever-growing list of Vegan and Dairy Free chocolate options continues to expand, with Galaxy now making their own bars and a Plant Based Cadbury Dairy Milk being planned...and luckily there's also some new white chocolate vegan options popping up too.

I've only tried a few varieties so far, there's not many but the supermarket versions I've had were pretty bad. So when I discovered this new Moo Free White Chocolate Easter figure I was cautious...would it be as bad as some of the others?

These are available in quite a few supermarkets now with prices ranging from £3-£4, and consists of a strawberry flavoured vegan white chocolate hollow hamster, that is made with recycled packaging and is soya free. It's made with rice milk and starch rather than the maltodextrin found in supermarket versions - which is good news for those who are gluten free since maltodextrin can sometimes cause problems.

moo free white chocolate

I was so surprised by how nice this was! The white chocolate is smooth, creamy and melts in the mouth which is a hard task when there's no milk in it. The strawberry flavour blends beautifully with it, it's real strawberry oil so doesn't taste artificial. I was surprised how well the flavours blended to be honest and this tasted probably better than it might do without the strawberry (although I haven't tried Moo Free's regular white chocolate, which they launched just recently).

If you're vegan or just need an allergen free creamy chocolate for Easter, this is for you! It's super moreish and one for the white chocolate lovers. If however you prefer something with more cocoa, there's a Caramel flavour Moo Free Bunny available in Tesco which is also highly delicious!

Seen in: Asda, Morrisons, Waitrose.

Moo Free Sea Salt & Lime Chocolate Review

moo free sea salt lime

It's a pretty confusing time in the world right now, and as much as I'm worried like the rest of you I'm trying to stay sane through the power of snacks! Check out my Instagram for my most recent reviews - but here's one for a bar I picked up a month or so ago from Waitrose. I do enjoy Moo Free Chocolates and I've heard that in the midst of this pandemic they're struggling due to less demand from supermarkets, so be sure to order from them online if you're a fan. Here's their website:
https://www.moofreechocolates.com/

This Lime and Sea Salt rice milk bar is a richer version of their chocolate, with more cocoa in and is very flavoursome as a result.

moo free vegan chocolate

Usually rice milk chocolates can be a bit tasteless even if they're creamy, but here the chocolate is nicely rich, balanced with a tang from the lime with the sea salt rounding off the flavour nicely. It's creamy enough to not be bitter and is more like a high-cocoa milk chocolate, like Cadbury Darkmilk. It all just works together very well! And as always the block design is pretty cheery!

Small businesses like Moo Free need a lot of support to continue in these challenging times so be sure to check out their website and consider ordering online. Their new dairy free white chocolate in particular is very delicious!

Cadbury Darkmilk Giant Buttons Review

cadbury darkmilk buttons

I have to say I'm surprised the Cadbury Darkmilk brand has stayed around, not because it's bad but I didn't think there was a demand for darker milk chocolate. However we now have an array of new Cadbury Darkmilk flavours, Easter eggs and now Buttons, so they must be doing something right! I'm pleased I have to say because I do enjoy the richer taste of Darkmilk, it feels a bit more grown up than Dairy Milk which seems too sweet these days. Let's not mention the abominable Galaxy Darker Milk from last year...what on earth was THAT?!

These Buttons are simply large Buttons of Darkmilk, and capture all the moreishness of Cadbury Buttons but in a richer form. Cadbury Buttons have always been more addictive than the bars, I don't know how they manage it, but it's like some alchemy occurs when you put them in a round shape!

cadbury darkmilk buttons

The buttons are moreish, but yet more satisfying to eat than Dairy Milk, there's less of the sickly milk flavour and more rich cocoa, plus none of the vegetable fat. Definitely more addictive than the bar version.

These are ideal for cake decorating or adding to cookies, and thanks to the higher cocoa percentage will likely stand up to high heats better.

If you're a fan of Darkmilk these are a must!

Stay tuned for my review of the new Cocoa Nibs Darkmilk...

Cadbury White Chocolate Oreo Bars Review

Cadbury White Oreo bars

Recently Asda has relaunched Cadbury White Chocolate, and although it's not the Cadbury Dream in the blue wrappers like we remember, it's pretty tasty. They recently took it a step further, and stuffed it with an Oreo cookie and cream style filling, and it's an amazing creation!

Cadbury White Oreo bars

Available only in multipacks currently, these are around £1.50 in Asda and consist of curved chunks of white chocolate, with a creamy filling and Oreo pieces.

Cadbury White Oreo bars

They're extremely sweet, but quite moreish. The white chocolate is standard milky, creamy stuff with the cream filling working well with it and the Oreo cookies balancing out the flavour with some slightly savoury, cocoa biscuit crunch. They're great with a cuppa when you need a sweet snack. But like I said they are very sweet so might not be for everyone unless you have a very sweet tooth!

Black Milk Kinderella Hazelnut Cream Review

Black milk hazelnut cream

Ever wondered what the filling of a Kinder Bueno tastes like solo? Well it’s amazing, and better than Nutella too in my humble opinion! This spread based on Kinder Bueno is made by Black Milk Cereal who have fantastic cafes in Manchester and London, serving waffles, pancakes and other goodies drenched with their signature Kinder Cream creation. You can now get it in jars from their online store (and the code Kevs10 will get a 10% discount). As well as Kinder Cream they do dessert sauces, salted caramel, and lots of biscoff products! (Like Biscoff Ice Cream Topping!) This stuff is highly popular with homemade bakers with good reason!

Black milk hazelnut cream

I’m not much of a cake or cookie maker unfortunately, I prefer to eat this stuff right from the spoon! It’s like a smoother spreadable form of Kinder Bueno filling, and like a milkier version of Nutella. I honestly prefer it! So indulgent and creamy.

When I’m feeling fancy I will mix it with things like Lotus Biscoff cookies or just slather it on toast.

Black milk kinder

Pictured below are the new pourable sauces from Black Milk; Salted Caramel, Pistachio, White Chocolate and Hazelnut Cream. Yum! I’m yet to try these but hoping to start using my new waffle maker soon...I bet they’ll taste great drenched on fresh waffles!

They also do personalised jars and I was lucky to be gifted one in my own name, how cool!

Check out their web store and if you’d like to try anything use code Kevs10 for 10% off:

Twix Salted Caramel Review

twix salted caramel

Salted Caramel is such an obvious flavour it’s a wonder that Twix haven’t done it before now, but what’s more surprising is how wrong they managed to get it!

These bars are available in multipacks from various stores now and recently launched in Tesco. Even though they’re called salted caramel, the salt is actually in the biscuit base, which is a bit odd isn’t it?!

They just taste weird and wrong. There’s crunchy bits of salt in the biscuit but it’s unevenly dispersed so some bits taste salty and other bits taste like normal Twix. Odd! And it doesn’t make for a great snacking experience!

twix salted caramel

Overall, these are a failure in my opinion - after posting about them on Instagram the comments were mixed, some people loved them and some hated them. So maybe they’re the marmite of new snacks!

3/10

Fry's Strawberry Cream Review

frys strawberry cream

I’ve always been a big fan of Fry’s Cream bars, the Orange ones in particular are a favourite so I was overjoyed when they launched this new Limited Edition Strawberry variety recently! Available from discount stores like B&M Bargains and Iceland Foods for £1, these are vegan friendly and are classic Fry’s Cream dark chocolate with a soft fondant filling.

frys strawberry cream

Fry’s launched a Raspberry Cream last year and although it’s nice, I preferred this one as it just has all the nostalgic flavours of Strawberry Creams which I love! I’ve always enjoyed strawberry cream chocolate from Quality Street and Roses (yes I know everyone else hates them haha!) so I felt like this was made for me!

frys strawberry cream

It’s sickly sweet of course but that’s what you expect from a Fry’s Cream bar. The dark chocolate is rich and sweet, likely Bournville chocolate and a nice carrier for the filling. I felt like it balanced the proportion of cream to chocolate better than that of a Quality Street strawberry cream for example.

Overall, a great new bar and I do hope this becomes permanent instead of the Raspberry Cream! 8/10.

Chum Fruit Bites Review

$

0

It’s hard to get healthy snacks nowadays that are truly healthy and live up to their credentials, whether it’s free from, additive free or whatever. I’ve tried various ones and many seem to come with downsides. But with Chum Fruit Bites I can say they’ve actually achieved their goal of being additive free, non GMO, refined sugar free, vegan, gluten free and nut free. They’re literally made with non GMO fruit purée and that’s it! The fruit is squished into little triangles to make a cool snack and comes in handy snacking sachets. They’re ideal for a mid morning or mid afternoon snack. And they don’t give you a sugar crash as they’re not full of white sugar but natural fruit sugar, which releases energy more slowly.

They also donate 15% of profits to Wild Aid, which is currently working to end live animal markets - a worthy cause, considering!

There’s several flavours and my favourite is the Peach, which has a lovely natural sweet peach flavour followed by Strawberry which is very “Jammy” and makes me think of jam in bite-size form for some reason! The Apple is slightly tart and zingy with an edge of pear flavouring it too, while the berry is part blueberry and blackberry giving the sweetness and tartness of both.

For a simple snack made of fruit I really do enjoy these. There’s just enough pieces per bag for a little energy boost although they’re so tasty I always reach for a second! Haha.

You can find these available from chum bites online store - they’re not stocked in any shops unfortunately and it doesn’t look likely they will be due to being a small company. So please do check them out - it’s important to support small online businesses at this current time!

Pringles Minis Review

$

Recently, Home Bargains started selling these bags of Pringles Minis in Original and Sour Cream and Onion flavours. They’re only 39p a bag so I had to stock up on a few packs.

A quick google reveals that these were launched into the Vending Machine trade earlier this year, but presumably the pandemic has put a halt on that.

Unfortunately they were not as great as anticipated. They tasted somewhat stale and not as flavoursome as normal Pringles, and also felt less satisfying to eat. Overall these were a miss. Such a shame because they had potential!

Brothers Marshmallow & Tutti Frutti Cider Review

brothers marshmallow cider

I'm a big fan of Brothers cider, and really enjoyed the Parma Violet variety from last year so was super excited when they launched two new flavours this year - Marshmallow and Tutti Frutti!

These are available Online and from B&M stores, and the Marshmallow variety is available in a slightly larger bottle than Tutti Frutti. I was kindly gifted both flavours to sample.

The Marshallow flavour is nice, very sweet and with a strong vanilla like marshmallow-ish flavour...I mean, it tastes as much of marshmallow as is likely possible in drink form. It blends nicely with the cider and the overall result is very sweet, and comforting. If you like this or not will depend on your sweet tooth and whether you like drinks to taste more like pop. I fall into the latter category so I really enjoyed it - perfect for the end of a pretty dull lockdown week!

brothers tutti frutti cider

The Tutti Frutti flavour however was my absolute favourite. It has the right balance of sweetness and tart fruit flavours, reminding me a bit of Fruit Salad sweets. I preferred this over the Marshallow as there's more varying flavours and it isn't just all sweet. I have struggled to find these in B&M stores, so I'm not sure if they're more limited than the Marshmallow variety...please do let me know if you've seen them in your local!

Overall, as always Brothers have excelled with new cider flavours. I love that they keep bringing new varieties out and ensure cider drinking is never dull!

*Gluten free, suitable for vegans*

Doritos Stax Spicy Chicken Wings

doritos stax

There's a new range of Doritos in town to steal Pringles crunchy crown...Doritos Stax!

These are available now from most supermarkets, and this Spicy Chicken Wings flavour is exclusive to Tesco. The prices vary between £1.50 - £2.50 depending on where you buy them.

They are unusual in that they contain dried black beans in the ingredients. I was expecting them to be similar to Pingles but they're a bit different in that they contain little bubbles in the crisps. They have a nice strong spicy chicken flavour and as always with Doritos  are well seasoned. They'd go particularly nicely with a dip. I liked that they seem a bit more wholesome than regular Doritos somehow, maybe due to the black beans.

Overall, these are a nice addition to the Doritos range and are a bit different from regular Doritos, but I'm not sure we really needed them? They don't give you the same moreish crunchy factor that Pringles do so I'm not likely to get them very often. Nice novelty though.

Jim Jams Vegan Dark Chocolate Spreads Review

jim jams vegan spread

I've tried the regular version of Jim Jams No Added Sugar spread before and really enjoyed it, so was excited to try these new vegan varieties they launched recently to see how they compared. They come in both Hazelnut and Orange dark chocolate flavour, with no added sugar. Instead they contain maltitol which is a sweetener many may be aware of.

jim jams vegan spread

Whilst I have always been wary of maltitol due to its "unintended effects" I realise like anything it's a case of moderation. So I tried not to go overboard eating this!

The Dark chocolate orange variety is pretty good with a nice chocolate orange flavour. A bit like the dark version of Terrys Chocolate Orange in spread form, perhaps! Although it was nice it didn't wow me enough with the flavour to purchase again. It needs a bit more zing for my liking.

jim jams vegan spread

The Hazelnut one is an absolute winner though, it's every bit as rich as Nutella and perhaps even more nutty, it lacks the same level of intense sweetness and greasy texture and this is a good thing! I really enjoyed this and it felt rather indulgent for something sugar free, I'd be happy to use it as a replacement for the real thing when watching my sugar intake. Its not obvious at all that its vegan as its so creamy and rich thanks to the hazelnuts.

Overall, these new Jim Jams spreads are a big win especially if you're dairy free or vegan! I do think the Orange one needs a little more zing but that's just personal preference. I think a Mint version might be a nice flavour to pair with dark chocolate if they do any more in future!

Lidl Way To Go Fin Carre Ethical Chocolate

Lidl fin carre way to go chocolate

I recently spotted some new funky looking bars in Lidl, and instantly they reminded me of Tony’s Chocolonely bars, the ethical brand that launched last year donating money to helping end slavery in cocoa production. I’ve always loved the Tony’s brand and I think in 2020, more than ever, we need more ethically produced products - it should be expected, let’s be honest! So it’s always nice to see another brand like this even if it’s essentially copying Tony’s.

Lidl fin carre way to go chocolate

I got the dark chocolate version to try as I was curious how it would be compared to other dark chocolates. In hindsight this was a mistake, as the actual chocolate is nothing extraordinary. It’s nice enough and good quality don’t get me wrong but it has no particular distinct flavour to make me buy it again.

I’ll certainly try the other two flavours which are Milk Chocolate and Almond and Sea Salt, and I do like the chunky haphazard block design that mimics Tony’s Chocolonely. It’s a shame through that Lidl don’t just stock Tony’s? Maybe there’s some legal reason or a cost cutting reason why they don’t but if it’s to support ethical chocolate it seems more sensible to go to the originators!

Anyway, be sure to look out for these in Lidl and give them a try if only to support more ethically produced food!

Info from the label: the cocoa used to produce this bar is grown by farmers from the Kuapa Kokoo co operative in Ghana. They are partnered with fair trade to pay an additional Lidl premium for every tonne of cocoa they buy. This money supports farmers to grow more diverse local crops like honey, that support a sustainable future and secure a living income for farmers and their families.

M&ms crunchy caramel bar

Last year we got several new M&M bars launched in the U.K. and this year they have gone and blessed us with another; a Crunchy Caramel Bar, and not only that they have also brought back Crunchy Caramel M&Ms!

I really enjoy the M&M bars as the chocolate is great tasting and the additions plentiful, so this new one was very welcome. I was kindly #gifted a sample bar from Mars PR.

M&ms crunchy caramel bar

This bar includes mini M&Ms and crunchy caramel pieces mixed into the bar and it’s a great combo! There’s the creamy milk chocolate, which is almost like Galaxy and the crunchy mini M&Ms and plentiful crunchy caramel. It’s very crunchy and tasty and brings a nice mix of everything. It’s maybe a stretch to theme it on M&Ms but the M&Ms character on the block looks super cool so I’ll let them off with that!

M&ms crunchy caramel bar

Overall, another delicious addition to the range which should be available in Tesco stores very soon. Let me know if you try these!

Cadbury Dairy Milk Vote To Keep Me Bars 2020

Cadbury have brought back their Vote To Keep Me competition for Dairy Milk with three new bars; Out of the Blueberry, Coconutty and Crunchy Honeycomb.

You can vote for your favourites online at: https://www.cadburyinventor.com/

I was kindly #gifted some to try from Cadbury PR and below are my thoughts on each variety;

Out of the Blueberry - this is a mixture of fruity blueberry pieces and white chocolate crispy pieces, and it’s honestly a nice inspired combination. Like a fruit and nut but with a blueberry edge instead. Could have been more exciting, I guess, but I liked it!

Crunchy Honeycomb - honeycomb with fudge and hazelnuts, now it sounds boring but I rather enjoyed it! It’s very sweet but the honeycomb and fudge blend nicely with the hazelnut for several different tastes.

Coconutty - this is coconut crumble with white chocolate crispy pearls, and it’s very nice indeed, but maybe not exciting enough for a competition like this. I think Dairy Milk with a moist coconut filling in should be a thing though - a Dairy Milk meets Bounty, yum!

Overall, maybe not the most exciting options for this years Vote To Keep Me competition but that’s how it goes sometimes.

If you’ve tried these let me know your favourite in the comments!
